What are you currently working on with Partnership for Change (PFC)?

R: I am working with PFC in opening a medication disposal box at North Memorial Health Outpatient Pharmacy. This would allow patients of North Memorial to have a convenient location to drop off their unused or expired medications.

Why do you think it’s important to connect prevention with pharmacy?

R: I think that connecting prevention with pharmacy can help the environment, community, and individuals. It is important that patients have a way to safely dispose of their medications because this helps prevent accidental overdose, while also ensuring that the medications don’t end up in the black market. Having easy disposal sites additionally ensures that medications end up properly disposed of and not in our water supply or land fills.

What do you do in your spare time, if any?

R: In my free time I enjoy swing dancing, particularly lindy hop. It is a great way to get some exercise in while still having a really fun social experience.
