Welcome & Introductions

Jessica called the meeting to order. Attendees introduced themselves and shared their favorite song that would be played continuously in the background. A motion was made and seconded to approve the January meeting minutes. Motion carried.

Community Highlight: PrairieCare

Amber shared PrairieCare’s OASIS program (Jen was unable to attend the meeting). A program geared for parents of Osseo Area Schools to learn about various topics, such as positive discipline, stress relief for kids, childhood trauma, and others. The meetings take place every second Tuesday evening of each month, during the school year. Each meeting features a different topic and speaker. Here is more information.

Marijuana Educational Event – Review Attendee List

Amber passed out the current attendee invite list for the marijuana event in April. Meeting attendees reviewed the list and provided suggestions and feedback. It was suggested that we customize a letter/email to be mailed to each attendee on the list, along with the final version of the flyer.

Kjirsten asked if we are inviting people from the entire metro region, not just Partners in Prevention and Partnership for Change service areas. The group agreed that further outreach to organizations is needed, such as CONNECT coalition in Washington County and Anoka-Hennepin School District.

ACTION ITEM: Amber will meet with Kjirsten to review invite list and add metro partners. Amber and others will begin sending out personalized invites and follow-up within a week.

Community Partner Sharing

Dustin shared that this is his last Partnership for Change meeting. He will be moving on to a new adventure. Nicole Herlofsky will be replacing him on the coalition.

Kjirsten shared an upcoming event (register here): Unpacking Evaluation with Dr. Geary, held in Sauk Rapids on April 18 – 19th. Cost is $50.

Adjourned at 4 PM

Next Meeting is: Tuesday, March 13th at 2p at Maple Grove Gov’t Center, Mayor’s Conference Room
